teaching
Interested in having a lesson with me? I am comfortable teaching at any age or skill level, and would love to work with you to improve your horn playing! My teaching philosophy is one of working to adapt to students’ needs. Every student is unique and I encourage individuality in the learning process of a creative medium such as music-making.
I strive to lay a foundation of technique from which to build one’s musicality, so that students feel the freedom of being able to express themselves through music. Another primary focus of my teaching is to eliminate excess physical tension during the act of playing a brass instrument, as this is crucial for building strong and healthy habits towards a longevous career.
My studio is growing fast in the Chicagoland area, but if you are further away I would be happy to schedule a virtual lesson. Please fill out the adjacent form to get in touch with me, and I look forward to working with you!
